Amazon Web Services

AWS Activate

Activate is our program designed to help early-stage startups experiment risk-free with cloud infrastructure and services by extending to them a range of benefits (detailed below). Activate is a key window of time where companies can get comfortable with how AWS technology and people can help speed their time to market and give them advantages and leverage difficult to find elsewhere. Founders will find us to be the right balance of maturity, pressure-tested technology, cutting-edge developments and track record. AWS delivers this at an ever-decreasing price point and that takes a long-term partnership perspective, placing our customer’s needs as the highest priority.

We strongly encourage companies to take advantage of AWS in-house technical talent (solutions architects and area-of-depth experts in subjects like genomics, machine learning, security, compliance, etc). These are seasoned engineers who are here explicitly to interface with and guide/advise our customers in a 1:1 customized way at no cost. While they can provide one-off advice, companies should look at them as a force-multiplier who can can support their growth and success over the long term.

QB3 incubator network residents

Residents will be entitled to $15,000 in AWS promotional credit that expires 2 years after taking up residence. Additionally, companies will be enrolled in and receive $5,000 in credit towards Business-level support (provides response time to trouble tickets within 2 hours), and other credits for AWS training in technical essentials (in-person or web-based), business essentials (web-based), and self-paced labs (web-based). Full details are here under the “Portfolio” package.
