QB3 and CCA are innovative organizations dedicated to benefiting society. With neighboring campuses in Mission Bay, we are committed to developing a vibrant and exciting local environment.
Discovery and innovation share many common themes regardless of discipline. Hear leading QB3 scientists and CCA artists describe their projects and explain how they find inspiration.
QB3 Neuroscientist Adam Gazzaley will tell us how playing computer games can improve cognitive functions.
Biochemist Chris Voigt will talk about making silk, photographs and jet fuel with bacteria. CCA Industrial Designer Lucas Ainsworth will demonstrate how iteration and design thinking are used to spur innovation.
Architect Thom Faulders will show how a building can be wrapped in a layer of metal that breathes. This event will be the springboard for collaboration between QB3 and CCA in fundraising and research.
