QB3 at UCSF is hiring a full‐time writer for a one‐year position.
QB3 at UCSF is hiring a full‐time writer for a one‐year position. Successful candidate will be able to perform a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to writing, editing, and proofreading grant proposals; searches for new funding opportunities; assist with updating reference materials. Incumbent must be able to oversee the development of and submission of research projects, and be able to evaluate program activities for proposal submissions. Assemble scientific documents, prepare budgets and coordinate collection of materials and data from multiple principal investigators. Translate scientific abstracts into lay terms. Incumbent must be knowledgeable in developing and implementing strategic grants with multiple projects, as well as coordinating the renewal of existing award applications, identifying and pursuing new and relevant grant opportunities. Successful candidate must be aware of and follow grant management regulations, and work with both UCSF SOP & SOM Contracts & Grants units and processes.
Required Qualifications:
PhD in biological science preferred. 2‐5 years experience in writing
federal grants and obtaining federal grant funding. Ability to
organize, analyze and interpret complex scientific, medical or
technical data. Must be able to write concise, clear communications.
Possess excellent verbal interpersonal skills.
